Biography
Professor Maha Mahdi Al-Khaffaf is a Full Professor of Management Information Systems and Director of International Relations at Applied Science Private University in Amman, Jordan. With over 18 years of experience in higher education, she brings together academic expertise, strategic leadership, and a commitment to advancing international collaboration.
Throughout her career, Professor Al-Khaffaf has held senior leadership roles spanning academic management, quality assurance, strategic planning, institutional development, and consultation and training. Her work reflects a strong interest in connecting universities across borders and translating shared academic goals into meaningful opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers.
Her research interests include responsible artificial intelligence governance, digital transformation, sustainability, and the strategic role of information systems in organizations. She has authored and co-authored more than 50 research publications and is developing collaborative research involving European and Arab universities.
In her current role, she works to expand global partnerships, develop joint academic programs, and promote research collaboration and student mobility. Her vision is to connect academic excellence with responsible innovation and international engagement, helping universities create lasting value for their communities.
